The identification, removal, containment and treatment of Japanese Knotweed. Japanese Knotweed is considered an invasive species of plant in Ireland. A program of removal of the plant and its Rhizomes was devised and a treatment program using herbicides implemented over a period of time as required. Ongoing monitoring of the areas is required to ensure the plant has been dealt with adequately.
